Aligned Leisure is a 100% owned subsidiary of the Richmond Football Club, established as a vehicle to manage the operations of Richmond’s health, fitness and leisure business activities. As the Head of Facilities, Safety & Environment you will work across all departments to ensure all facilities are maintained and presented to the highest possible standard, in a safe and environmentally responsible
way. They will ensure customer satisfaction in all physical environments is maximised, supporting our customer-first philosophy.
A key aspect of this position is the setup of systems and work practices across the facilities, ensuring operational excellence is maintained. Focus areas for this position are:
- pool management
- aquatic supervision
- asset management
- facility presentation
- risk, safety and environmental management
These work practices ultimately derive from the requirements contained withing the Aligned Leisure OHSMS certified to ISO 9001, 45001 and 18001.
As a visible leader, you will work closely with staff from Nillumbik Shire Council, remaining in constant communication on the various responsibilities of facility and asset management. To succeed and establish Aligned Leisure, you must develop and maintain a prominent and visible role throughout the community by thoughtfully and professionally representing Aligned Leisure with key community stakeholders. This position will work relentlessly to implement the Aligned Leisure purpose of CONNECTING TO THRIVE AND WIN, values of AWARE, DISCIPLINED, RELENTLESS and UNITED, and associated behaviours throughout the entire team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Nillumbik Leisure Facility maintenance and presentation
2. Leadership of Risk, Safety and Environmental Management
3. Outstanding service delivery to all customers and stakeholders
4. Provide strong leadership for Aquatic Facilities Captain and Eltham Leisure Centre Cleaner
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
• Experience in aquatic and asset management desirable.
• Tertiary qualifications desirable, not essential.
• CPR and First Aid Certificate
• Working with Children’s Check
• Pool Lifeguard (if not current must be willing to obtain)
• Aquatic Technical Operations Certificate (if not current must be willing to obtain)
• Working at Height and Cert IV Work Health & Safety (if not current must be willing to obtain)
• Subject to pre-employment check such as a Police Check
