Northlakes High School is an inclusive, comprehensive government secondary school on the NSW Central Coast. The 2024 enrolment is 830. The school caters for the learning and wellbeing needs of students from diverse backgrounds, including low socio-economic status. 20% of students identify from an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island background and 8% identify as having a non-English speaking background. There are ten classes supporting students with a range of disabilities based within the Adaptive Learning Centre and Twinlakes Centre.

Northlakes High School is a Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) school and is utilising PBL and a successful house system to devise engagement strategies and improve student wellbeing. There is a large focus placed on teacher professional learning, Quality Teaching, and use of data to inform planning and programming. Advancement via Individual Determination (AVID) was introduced as a core program in 2015 and has since been implemented school-wide.

Highly developed leadership skills to support and supervise staff at faculty level, building a positive and productive team, with the capacity to develop innovative programs for students of all abilities, including leading the implementation of the new syllabuses in the Creative and Performing Arts Key Learning Area.
Demonstrated experience in implementing and leading innovative strategies for meeting the challenges of a diverse range of students learning needs including students from low socio-economic status communities, students with disabilities, gifted and talented and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.
Proven capability to develop extracurricular programs and events that provide real-world experiences for students, both internal and external through engagement with community events with a commitment to improving students' educational outcomes.
Ability to collaborate to develop, implement and evaluate high-quality teaching and learning programs, lessons and assessments that differentiate the curriculum and engage students to foster a culture of high expectations particularly in Stage 5 and Stage 6.
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs
3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams
4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents
5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning
6. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy
