How you will make contributions that matter
As the Health and Safety Adviser / Compliance Training Adviser for our Kiewa site, you will be responsible for the daily management of safety Compliance Training to ensure a safe working environment for approximately 180 people on site.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting site risks assessments and ensuring effective implementation of risk, incident, contractor and emergency management
- Supporting safety incident investigations, providing technical expertise, support and coaching to key stakeholders
- Evaluating and addressing site training needs and working with safety and site management teams to communicate training plans and projections
- Developing a culture of continuous improvement and effective communication by investing in engaging face-to-face learning and competency assessment
- Adopting and exploring innovative training techniques and sharing experiences with the wider training team
- Completion of Certificate IV in Occupational Health & Safety and/or Training
- Previous experience within Health and Safety required with training delivery and management advantageous
- Experience within a warehouse or production environment preferable
- Strong relationship building and stakeholder management skills
- Commitment to a strong safety culture
- Comfortable using software applications including MS Office suite and online incident reporting tools
