We are looking for a dynamic Environment Health and Safety Advisor to join our clients team and lead their efforts in ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for our office-based and field staff across Australia and New Zealand.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate environment Health and safety compliance and legal requirements implementation across ANZ.
- Manage workers' compensation coordination and return to work across ANZ, including self-insurance in NSW.
- Support the development of site environment Health and safety culture and promote awareness.
- Lead ergonomics program implementation across ANZ.
- Support and achieve environment Health and safety goals and programs.
- Ensure environment Health and safety management system and standards implementation and improvement of performance.
- Support site environment Health and safety improvement projects.
- Develop and deliver necessary environment Health and safety training for relevant audiences.
- Complete the draft of the SIRA annual submission and business plan, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
- Attend monthly one-on-one meetings and data quality reviews conducted by SIRA.
- Experienced environmental, health, and safety advisor.
- Proven experience in an environment Health and safety role.
- Entry level experience in self-insured workers' compensation.
- PC literacy with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., typing, email, spreadsheets, 3M IT platforms).
- Return to Work Coordinator certification.
- Internal auditor certification to ISO 14001 or ISO 45001.
- Hazardous substance management.
- Must have drivers license and access to a vehicle (there is sporatic travel to different sites)
