Role Summary
The Health and Safety Reporting and Analytics Specialist is an opportunity in our Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Governance and Analytics Team based at our Forrest Centre Head Office (CBD).
The purpose of this role is to collate, analyse and report on Health and Safety performance metrics, with a focus on driving continual improvement across the business.
Key responsibilities of the role include, but not limited to, the following:
- Coordinate internal and external reports for the board, committees, business units, and regulators on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Monitor and analyse Health and Safety incidents and non-compliances, providing support to management in reporting.
- Analyse key metrics and legislative data to identify trends and areas for continual improvement in Health and Safety performance.
- Develop and implement audit plans for Health and Safety, monitoring performance accordingly.
- Review and evaluate the effectiveness of Health and Safety systems, reporting, and assurance processes, recommending improvements as necessary, and contribute to the development and maintenance of Health and Safety policies, procedures, and standards in accordance with best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Tertiary qualification in a science or a safety related discipline or equivalent.
- Strong communication skills for engaging stakeholders confidently.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management under pressure.
- Experience in engaging effectively with industry stakeholders, contractors, and government bodies.
- Proficiency in critical thinking for data analysis and continuous improvement in Health and Safety performance reporting and systems management, including software proficiency in MS Office Suite.
