DIDO/Residential/FIFO - Seeking an experienced Health & Safety Coordinator
Your new company
Work for an international mining organisation with sites across the Bowen Basin as an experienced Health & Safety Coordinator. This permanent full-time position can either be DIDO or residential, with an opportunity for the right candidate to be FIFO from Brisbane.
Your new role
You will look after all elements of health & safety, including return to work/WorkCover, hygiene monitoring, auditing, contractor management of security / paramedics, medical management, ERT, risk assessments, safety management system, facilitating ICAM/investigations, Mentoring, coaching, supporting and influencing line leaders with the utilisation of safety tools and standards (Critical Risk Control Management, In-Control system and MoC). The team comprises a variety of multidisciplined H&S professionals (who all report directly into the HST Manager) whose sole aim is to not only lead the way in H&S practises for North QLD but improve the working lives of those they serve.
What you'll need to succeed
- Three (3) years practical experience in a similar role
- Demonstrated practical experience in the application and maintenance of SHMS, Risk Management System, Investigation and incident management and relevant database and Contractor Safety System Management
- Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or Certificate IV
