An opportunity is available for an experienced Health and Safety Manager to join a growing food manufacturer due to continued growth.
This food manufacturer has recently been through a new site purchase and has created this role to meet the business objectives. A strong background in Health and Safety is the core focus of this position however, environmental impact is another area that the position is required to fulfill. The company produces a range of ready-to-eat products.

Typical tasks include:
- Review the current Health and Safety program and implement improvements for a more robust system where needed
- Record all incidents / accidents and negate any risks to reduce LTIs
- Conduct regular risk assessments - identify and communicate results
- Ensure the company is compliant with OH&S legislation and regulation
- Conduct regular training for operations staff on Health and Safety (including contractor inductions)
- Other duties as required
In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must meet the following criteria:
- Tertiary qualifications in Work Health & Safety or relevant field
- Proven experience in Health & Safety
- High energy and determination to succeed
- FMCG background – food-related highly regarded or heavy industry
- Strong communication and training skills
- High attention to detail
- Strong knowledge of state and federal OH&S legislation
