Job Description:
As a Health and Wellbeing Officer, you’ll be at the forefront of our efforts to enhance employee health, fitness and general wellbeing. Your role will involve coordinating Health and fitness programs, administering wellbeing initiatives, and ensuring the smooth operation of our onsite facilities. If you’re passionate about health, fitness, and making a positive impact, and have strong office administration skills, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities:
Health Centre Supervision
- Design, implement, and evaluate Health and fitness initiatives tailored to employee needs and interests.
- Conduct health assessments and develop personalised fitness plans for employees.
- Coordinate and deliver group fitness classes, workshops, and seminars.
- Maintain and manage fitness equipment and facilities to ensure a safe and clean environment.
- Monitor employee progress and provide ongoing support and encouragement.
- Develop strategies to increase the usage and take-up of gym facilities among employees.
Wellbeing Events and Initiatives
- Coordinate various Health & Wellbeing initiatives identified in our yearly plan such as flu vaccinations, health screenings, wellness workshops, walking groups and charity event participation
- Assist with Ergonomics – Office Workstations & Maintenance team
- Collaborate with external partners and healthcare professionals to offer additional resources and services.
- Develop and distribute educational and promotional materials on topics related to health, fitness, and Wellbeing
- Conduct audit of First aid supplies and order replenishment
- Gather feedback from employees to improve and refine wellbeing programs and services.
- General administrative duties as required
Key Selection Criteria
- Strong administration skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
- Certificate III in Fitness or Health and Fitness or relevant experience and willingness to obtain
- First Aid & CPR currency
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a corporate or industrial setting
- Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Desirable Mental Health First Aid
