We deliver secure electricity to homes and businesses throughout the Southwest Interconnected System (SWIS) from Coral Bay in the north, to Kalgoorlie in the east, and to Esperance in the southClick to discover more about how Western Australia’s energy landscape is evolving to become more sustainable.Role Summary:The Health and Safety Advisor role is an opportunity in our HSE Operations Team based at our Kwinana/Cockburn and Pinjar sites.Within this role you will provide support to the execution of HSE activities across Synergy Gas Generation locations by providing on site Health and Safety support through processes, advice, and technical assistance.Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Monitor and evaluate compliance of HSE Operations work to the appropriate HSE standards, systems, processes and legislation.
- Conduct and report on incidents, hazards and internal HSE system compliance audits.
- Support the facilitation of incident investigations including Incident Cause Analysis Method (ICAM) investigations.
- Recommend solutions to health and safety issues, improvement opportunities and prevention measures.
- Support reviews of the adequacy and effectiveness of emergency response procedures.
- Understanding of Work Health and Safety Act 2020 (WHS Act) and its associated Regulations.
- Minimum 2 years operational experience working in a health and safety position.
- Preferred - Minimum 2 years industry experience in the power generation or resourcing sectors.
- Incident Cause Analysis Method (ICAM) Lead Facilitator trained (or competence supporting investigations if non-ICAM methodology).
- WA ‘C’ Class drivers licence.
