What you will be doing
Reporting directly to Principal Consultant OHS, this role will be responsible for:
• Supporting the implementation of Health, Safety and Wellbeing (HSW) policies and procedures within the VEC
• Providing end-to-end HSW support to the VEC's permanent and temporary workforce leading up to and during the Local Government election 2024 (LG2024).
• Supporting Election Offices and Central sites to manage hazards and incidents
• Providing support to any injured or ill employees.
What you will bring to the role
• Demonstrated knowledge of relevant legislation and modern developments in OHS, including the Occupational Health and Safety Act (2004) and the Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2013.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in effectively managing health, Safety and Wellbeing in a high paced, and varied environment.
• Experience in the management of work related and personal injuries / illnesses, and workers compensation claims.
• Well-developed interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
