About the Role:
Join our team as a Health and Safety Advisor on a full time, ongoing basis working at multiple sites across the south eastern suburbs.
You will play a pivotal role in strengthening organisational capability to drive a culture of change.
- Partnering with frontline leaders and build the capability of managers to implement effective and sustainable Health and Safety management practices.
- Supporting the Regulator interactions.
- NB: There is a requirement to travel to other sites.
- Hybrid working environment.

About Us:
The OHS Advisory Team provide health and safety coaching, advisory and support, working collaboratively with stakeholders to build capability in relation to managing risk, influencing, and inspiring a positive safety culture.
About You:
You are an experienced and passionate Safety professional with ability to effectively communicate and influence change. You lead by example, thrive working in a dynamic, fast paced environment and are truly passionate about delivering a high standard of safety.
To ensure your success in this role you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:
- Proven experience in the implementation of organisational wide Health and Safety strategic plan which has delivered demonstrated improvements.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret relevant Victorian Workplace Health and Safety legislation and provide advice.
- Demonstrated internal consulting experience that has increased line managers knowledge, skills and confidence in organisation improvement processes.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written including a demonstrated ability to producing quality proposals, discussion papers and reports
- Demonstrated ability to influence and work with leaders and all staff at a strategic and operational level including proven track record in negotiating successful outcomes.
- Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to manage concurrent projects.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, excellence and best practice in health care.
- Evidence of the application of high level conceptual skills in creative problem solving and decision making outcomes including evidence of high level analysis and reporting skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage change initiatives across multiple sites and multiple disciplines.
- Ability to demonstrate a proactive approach towards research into contemporary OHS developments.
- Well-developed computer literacy
Mandatory requirements of the role:
- Tertiary qualifications in Workplace Health Safety or related
- Incident Investigation training
- Current driver’s license
