The role: A residential opportunity in Regional NSW for an experienced Safety & Emergency Response professional to join a well established mining operation.
The role is responsible for the continuous improvement of the emergency management, health, hygiene and security space and implementing best practice initiatives and programs to assist the site H&S team.

Key Accountabilities:
- Ensuring company Health, Safety & ER standards across the mine site
- NSW WHS Legislation
- Applicable Codes of Practice & State Standards
- Company WHS Management System
- Plan, organise, and supervise H&S site operations.
- Coordination of site security measures
- Implement health initiatives
- Implement ER plans and procedures
- Assisting in the establishment & maintenance of companies Site Safety Management Plans, Site Health & Safety Coordination plan, Site Emergency Action Plans, Environmental Plans and Procedures in consultation with relevant stakeholders.
- Conducting employee and contractor safety inductions
- Ensuring staff and contractors are operating in line with company framework
- Build and maintain effective relationships with site stakeholders / contractors / workers.
Core Competencies:
- 5 years minimum in similar role and mining operational site experience
- Emergency Response / Mine Rescue experience
- Qualifications related to Health & Safety & ER
- Strong background in NSW WHS mining legislations
- Competent management of small team
- Experienced in conducting ER training & First aid
- Paramedic background highly regarded
