Health Safety Environmental Advisor - Olympic Dam Fifo

Roxby Downs is a purpose-built town which supports Olympic Dam - a large mining operation owned and operated by BHP, located in South Australia. 

THE ROLE

Goodline requires an experienced and qualified HSE Advisor to join our Goodline Olympic Dam team. This position requires high level of attention to detail, technical skill and knowledge. Reporting to the HSE Superintendent, the HSE Advisor is a key member of the Olympic Dam operations team providing advisory, compliance and auditing services to our teams across mechanical, plumbing, electrical, building and civil disciplines.  A thorough understanding of WHS and environmental management principles, legislation and standards are important for this role. 

This role requires a collaborative style, working closely with our people and client project leaders to uphold standards and expectations across multiple work fronts. The successful candidates will be proactive in mentoring the work force and leaders, leading incident and event investigations, and seeking continuous improvement solutions.

ABOUT YOU

• Ability to collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to safety standards
• Relevant trade qualifications or certifications in related field
• Strong understanding of safety procedures and practices within mining /domestic environments
• Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• A willingness to learn and adapt
• BHP Olympic Dam Inducted (Advantage)
