Within Western Australia our Mining & Resources Division delivers engineering and construction projects for our key Tier 1 iron ore producing clients, which enables them to sustain and expand their mining operations throughout the Pilbara Region of Western Australia. As a trusted partner to the WA resource sector, Calibre is integrated in our Client’s Major Projects which enables up to go above and beyond and succeed together with our clients.
The Role:
Joining our Perth based team in our CBD office, this position is responsible for all facets of project setup - including developing, strategising and implementing Health & Safety Plans & Policies. This position is intended to stay local, working towards project execution later this year.
- Review and implementation of the Project Health & Safety Management Plan and communication to key stakeholders
- Development and overall implementation of relevant project specific Health & Safety risk registers, procedures and supporting documentation
- Implementation of the Field Leadership program including ongoing activity scheduling, coaching and reporting
- Provide Health & Safety expertise relating to contractual documentation including review of contractor Health & Safety documentation
- Liaising with Client and regulatory representatives, and collaborating with key internal stakeholders
- Conducting governance and assurance activities in line with the Project Assurance schedule and compiling reports
- Monitor, analyse and report on health and safety performance and compliance, including management of the Health & Safety dashboard
- Conduct risk assessments and associated workshops with key stakeholders.
Thrive with us! We hope you'll bring:
- Minimum of 7 years+ experience in Senior Positions within Health & Safety Management
- Extensive site experience and has lead/managed a major mining execution project
- Formal qualifications in WHS Management (Diploma or Degree)
- Training and/or audit qualifications will also be viewed as beneficial
- Your experience as a detail orientated self-starter who can work effectively within an established team
- Strong understanding of WHS legislation, Codes of Practices policies, and best practices
- Well experienced with the creation and implementation of Health & Safety management plans and supporting systems
