CNC Cartage Transport Solutions is a family run business which has been transporting timber and building products since 1998. Our business has grown from one truck to supplying multiple crane trucks to companies across Queensland. Due to our exponential growth, we have identified a Health and Safety Officer role is now required.  As a new role, a high demand will be placed upon you to ensure our safety procedures are up to standard. 

What does the job look like?

• Develop, implement and review workplace health and safety Policies in accordance with Qld Legislation and Regulations
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses and implement corrective actions
• Develop and deliver suitable safety training to employees to ensure they understand their responsibilities and are equipped with the knowledge to perform their job safely
• Promote a positive safety culture with employees through open communication and engagement 
• Communicate with relevant authorities and cooperate with needs, enquires and requirements as required

Is this you?

You will have a strong commitment to drive safety and compliance across our business coupled with your ability to work in an open, collaborative and inclusive manner. 

You can demonstrate:

• Relevant OHS qualifications
• Previous experience working with WHS/OHS in an operational environment (Logistics highly desirable)
• Experience with certified safety management systems
• Experience in Internal and/or External Auditing, Health and Safety training, Incident investigation and compliance
• Risk assessment knowledge and practice
• Results orientated, and able to work under pressure
