About Us.
We are a premium, rapidly expanding, award-winning catering & events business focusing on providing a fresh look on premium catering & events in Perth. We are the exclusive partner to one of Australia's most successful AFL sporting brands and are a stable, yet high-growth group with over 20 cafes, contracts & catering businesses located throughout Perth and the southwest, with 6 new openings in 2023 alone.
We are expanding our team and are seeking a hands-on Catering/Production Sous Chef to assist in producing food for cafes within the group and also assist our catering and events situated within our main kitchen on-site.
Situated within the relatively new $65-million West Coast Eagles HQ in Lathlain-Burswood area, just 3kms from Perth CBD, this position provides an excellent, stable roster with the opportunity to progress.
About You.
- Passionate, positive, organised, calm & quality-focused.
- Ownership & demonstrated experience in a similar role.
- Highly efficient and able to work autonomously.
- Able to multi-task, work fast & with a sense of urgency.
- 2 years of catering/production experience is preferred but not essential.
- Passionate & skilled in creating visually attractive catering from plated events, to grazing tables to canapes, through to corporate lunch boxes.
- Excellent communication & organisational skills.
- Professional, with a great work ethic.
- A valid driver's license is required.
Responsibilities.
- This is a 100% hands-on role.
- Willingness to produce truly different and impressively presented catering and cafe production.
- Cook and prepare 95% of our catering (Minimal pre-prepared items are ordered in).
- Following the lead from our Head Chef and Group Operations Manager to provide your own ideas for our cafes & catering menus.
- Able to provide accurate orders with minimal wastage for your production items.
- Working with the cafe & events team to maintain a positive environment.
- Able to quickly problem solve & lead by example through your work ethic.
- Ensuring well-planned, timely delivery for all production & catering.
Package.
- ***Monday-Friday & Day Shifts Only*** (Pending event requirements).
- $75,000-$80,000 + Superannuation.
- Christmas/Easter/All Public holidays off & generally all evenings off.
- Working within a well-equipped and relatively new, high-profile building.
