HammondCare provides care primarily through hospitals, residential care homes and home-based care as well as services for dementia support, community palliative care, rehabilitation, positive ageing and older persons mental health. About the role This newly reimaged full-time role is designed to drive a positive safety culture in HammondCares Residential and Dementia Centre portfolios. Working with the Health Safety & Wellbeing team you will work collaboratively across the portfolios to ensure the implementation, ongoing operation and continuous improvement of HammondCares health, safety and wellbeing framework and management system. The role will also assist with the implementation and evaluation of HammondCares Health, Safety and Wellbeing strategic initiatives. This role is permanent full-time role based at St Leonards with hybrid opportunities available. Key Responsibilities include Providing quality oversight of all incidents and hazard data by reviewing the identification of risks and classifications as well as ensuring thorough investigations are undertaken by the local managementEnsuring the implementation of risk minimisation strategies and evaluate their effectiveness through ongoing supervision of Residential and Dementia Centre incidents in HammondCares Risk Management systemProviding administrative oversight of all health, Safety & Wellbeing committees to ensure they meet their responsibilitiesWorking with the Manager, Health, Safety & Wellbeing and Employee Relations in establishing the context, identification, analysis and evaluation of health and safety related risk to identify trends and patterns that could result in targeted safety improvement programs and practicesWorking with business unit managers and team members to facilitate communication, consultation and cooperation in all matters relating to health, safety and wellbeing in the workplaceFacilitating and assisting managers and frontline team members to understand and meet their work health and safety responsibilitiesSupporting the development and review of policies, procedures, guides, communications and educational materials related to workplace health, safety and wellbeingSupporting the development and provision of education activities in the area of workplace risk, health, safety and wellbeing.[EB1]About You Commitment to engage and align with HammondCares Christian Mission, Motivation and Mission in Action.Demonstrated experience in a work health Safety & Wellbeing role preferably within a health or aged care settingDemonstrated experience engaging with stakeholders at all levels with strong influencing skillsExceptional communication skills written and verbal with the ability to build rapport quicklyDemonstrated experience working to deadlines, prioritising workload with strong time management skillsStrong administrative and computer skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamEmpathy and patienceCurrent NSW drivers licence and willingness to travel between HammondCares sites and servicesCert IV or higher qualification in work, health and safety desirable Benefits We care about your wellbeing at HammondCare and as a result offer a wide range of health and lifestyle benefits including: Fitness Passports; Full facility access can include gyms, group classes and pools for yourself and your family.Discounts across a range of household names such as JB HI- FIOption to purchase up to 2 weeks additional annual leave14 weeks Paid Parental Leave (FTE)Learning and development opportunitiesTo Apply If you are ready to make a difference with HammondCare, Apply Now!
