Are you a passionate, safety-focused individual who is up for a challenge? genU is looking to engage a Health, Safety & Wellbeing Specialist to provide guidance and embed a “safety first” culture at our workplace.
As the Health, Safety & Wellbeing Specialist you will coach, advise and consult stakeholders on Health, Safety & Wellbeing procedures, programs and policies that support employee, client and volunteer safety and minimise the potential for risks and harm throughout the organisation.
You will join a collaborative team of specialists that support the National Manager of Health, Safety & Wellbeing to champion and drive a safe and sustainable work environment. As we grow and mature, come join us in creating a safer future for genU!
This is a full-time, ongoing position. Flexible working arrangements available with regular office visits to the genU Support Hub in Geelong required.
Salary range from $90,000-105,000 + super + salary packaging benefits commensurate with experience.
About You
Our ideal Health, Safety & Wellbeing Specialist will have a genuine passion for the health and safety of our people. You will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage and work with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation;
  • Ability to facilitate and conduct risk assessments, safety investigations and safety training programs;
  • Knowledge and application of current work health and safety legislation, regulations and codes of practice;
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to produce quality reports, procedures and training materials;
  • Ability to interpret relevant legislation and standards.
  • Experience in the disability sector is desirable.
The following are essential:
  • Qualifications in occupational health and or experience in a relevant field - minimum Cert IV in Health & Safety (Diploma preferred);
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain;
  • Current NDIS Worker Orientation Module certificate of completion or willingness to obtain.
  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment is highly desirable.
