The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Health, Safety & Wellness Partner to join a highly engaged Human Resources team within the Office of the CEO Directorate on a permanent full-time basis.
This role actively partners with leaders and employees across indoor and outdoor sites to continue to improve the Town's workplace health and safety culture.
This position will report directly to the Principal Health, Safety & Wellness and will be empowered to provide up to date WHS advice and coaching by promoting health and safety initiatives, awareness and fostering a culture of proactive injury and hazard prevention for all employees, contractors, volunteers through compliance in line with the relevant Workplace Health and Safety Acts and Regulations.
The Health Safety & Wellness Partner will assist in the implementation, compliance and management of the Town's Safety Management System and facilitate health and safety meetings. Key aspects of the role will include conducting regular safety inspections, audits, safety investigations, providing functional administrative support and the administration of workers compensation claims and injury management.
Our ideal applicant will be a team player with excellent interpersonal skills, time management, high attention to detail and have a proactive attitude. You will require a high level of writing and verbal communication skills, as well as fast and efficient reporting writing skills.
You will be joining the team at an exciting time as the Town embarks on a culture of change with embracing of a wide range of new technologies, a large capital works program, and a number of other projects that make the Town a desirable place to live and work.

Work Related Requirements
The preferred applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol assessment to be considered for the role, as well as possess:
- Tertiary qualification in Work, Health & Safety (Certificate IV or higher)
- Level of mobility must allow for employees to comply with Emergency Evacuation Procedures
- Workplace First Aid
- National Police Clearance
- Current 'C' class drivers license
- Rights to work in Australia
