Health Service Manager

Balmoral Bush Nursing Centre (BBNC) is seeking suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the role of Health Service Manager. BBNC is a highly regarded nurse led rural Health Service which proudly delivers a wide range of services to our community in Western Victoria. 

About the role:

The Health Service Manager is responsible for overseeing all clinical and administrative operations and leading our dynamic, dedicated team of staff. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for rural Health Service delivery who has a working knowledge of healthcare practices and a vision for the future.

Day to day tasks include:

• Lead the workforce, ensuring high quality and innovative service delivery that meets all quality, service delivery and financial targets
• Ensure service delivery aligns with the objectives of the BBNC Strategic Plan
• Lead and direct the business development, community engagement and manage the day-to-day operations of the organisation to achieve optimum health outcomes and effective use of human resources and business assets
• With the support of an experienced management team coordinate, plan, implement and evaluate service delivery 
• Clinical duties including primary care, district nursing, urgent care, emergency management, stabilisation and referral of clients and community health promotion
• Clinical supervision and mentoring

Permanent part time position - minimum 48 hours, up to 76 hours per fortnight.

About you:

• You are a Registered Nurse Div 1 with minimum 5 years post graduate experience
• You have completed, or are willing to complete, Remote Area Nurse certification under the Ambulance Victoria Remote Area Nurse Emergency Guidelines
• You show evidence of and a commitment to client focused care, clinical governance and quality improvement. 
• You have demonstrated leadership and management skills and the ability to inspire and support a team with a diverse skill set
• You have highly developed interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to engage effectively with staff, local communities, stakeholders and at all levels of government. 
• You have an understanding of, and commitment to the principles of community Health Service provision and of the role of a healthcare service in responding to community needs within a rural community.
• You have a high-level understanding of the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards and/or Primary and Community Healthcare Standards
• You hold a current Victorian Drivers licence
• Midwifery and RIPRN qualifications, proven business development and/or project management skills would be an advantage
