Mitsui E&P Australia Pty Ltd (MEPAU) is an Australian subsidiary of the global Mitsui & Co., Ltd. group and is responsible for driving growth in energy investments in the region. We are focused on establishing a responsible, reliable, and sustainable supply of energy to meet growing demands, with interests in various onshore and offshore projects in Australia, and we are a rapidly growing operator in the Perth Basin.
We’re seeking a Health Specialist – Parental Leave Cover for a 12-month contract that will suit an experienced health professional with resource industry experience.
Reporting to the Head of HSE, you will:
- Provide health advice, training, and promotional activities with the support of external medical and allied health providers and in consultation with functional and line Health and Safety Advisors.
- Deliver the MEPAU Injury Management and Return to Work (RTW) program in consultation with health and insurance providers and HR professionals.
- Support embedded Health and Safety Advisors, HR professionals, and operational leadership with the development and implementation of MEPAU’s health-related programs including:
- Health and Hygiene Management Program
- Psychosocial Support program
- Provide oversight and support of MEPAU’s health information management system (Medical Director) including the management and recording of health surveillance and fitness for work information.
- Develop and participate in MEPAU’s internal assurance process as it applies to health-related process and matters.
- Provide input to the development and oversight of Health-related Power BI Dashboards.

To be successful in this role, you’ll require the following skills and experience:
- Tertiary level qualification in a Health-related discipline.
- Demonstrable experience in return-to-work injury management.
- Demonstrable understanding of psychosocial risk factors and prevention related to the industry.
- Working knowledge of Medical Director (desirable) or similar medical information systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
