Health & Wellbeing Specialist
Joining our team means you'll be part of something that really matters. As our (Health & Wellbeing Specialist), you will be based in Bentley and responsible for developing and maintaining health and wellbeing initiatives, systems and processes to enable the health and wellbeing of the Horizon Power Workforce.

Your role will include:

  • Coordinate the delivery of Health and Wellbeing initiatives in line with Horizon Powers Safety, Health and Wellbeing Strategy.
  • Maintain the "Illuminate" Health and Wellbeing program including a calendar of health and wellbeing promotion initiatives under the 3 pillars:
    o Energise - Physical Wellbeing.
    o Enlighten - Mental Wellbeing.
    o Enjoy - General Wellbeing.
  • Coordinate and consult with the Illuminate Health & Wellbeing Champions to deliver initiatives that meet the needs of Horizon Power employees.
  • Oversee the delivery of the Employee Assistance Program and associated Additional Wellbeing Services.
  • Provide specialist advice on health and wellbeing matters in mental health and psychosocial risk.
  • Deliver health and wellbeing presentations to a variety of internal stakeholders, divisions, and teams.
  • Work effectively within the Safety, Health & Wellbeing Delivery Team to ensure consistent approach to health and wellbeing is delivered regionally.
  • Coordinate workplace injury management, rehabilitation, and workers compensation claims ensuring compliance with WorkCover WA Workers Compensation legislation.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders (both Bentley based and regional), the Workers Compensation Insurer and rehabilitation service providers to deliver return to work outcomes for both Horizon Power and its workers.
  • Conduct risk management activities that address health and wellbeing matters including psychosocial risk assessment, control implementation and reviewing effectiveness of those controls.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of the Horizon Power Health and Safety management system, in particular the integration of the health and wellbeing and injury management activities.

You will have:
Essential:

  • Demonstrated strong stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong understanding of workplace health and wellbeing promotion.
  • Sound planning and project management knowledge.
  • A sound knowledge of WHS Legislation.
  • A strong understanding of Workers Compensation legislation.
  • High level written and verbal communication.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary health and wellbeing management.
  • Management of health information systems.
  • Management of effective workforce communication and consultation.

Desired:

  • ICAM or equivalent incident investigation.
  • Delivery of safety systems training.

Essential:
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar Health and Wellbeing advisory role.
