At Cooinda Lodge, we offer a truly fulfilling workplace for Healthcare Workers. Your primary role is to provide compassionate care to our residents in our warm and welcoming aged care home. Our programs are thoughtfully designed to promote independence, reablement, and an enriched quality of life. From therapeutic and social activities to emotional, cultural, spiritual, and physical engagement, you'll play a pivotal role in making every day special for our residents. In this role, you'll be an integral part of providing resident-centred, holistic care, working under the supervision of our Registered and Enrolled Nurses. Your duties will be aligned with your level of competence and formal educational preparation.
As you work closely with our nursing team and other specialists, your assessment and problem-solving skills will come into play for the ongoing care of our residents. Adaptability and the ability to prioritise resident care are key attributes in our ever-evolving environment. We value creative thinking and sound communication skills to make a real difference in the lives of our residents.
This is a permanent position, and there are opportunities to fill additional shifts as they become available or to work across our other Aged Care facility on a casual basis. Requirements:
Mandatory:
Residential Aged Care setting:
- Certificate III or IV in Aged Care; or Certificate III in Individual Support; or completing a Diploma/Bachelor in Nursing and have successfully completed an Aged Care Placement
- Computer skills, to use electronic medical records.
- A thorough understanding and respect for confidentiality requirements.
- Responsible and mature work attitude.
Desirable:
- Previous experience in Aged Care.
- Knowledge of privacy legislation and document control.
IMPORTANT: We prioritise the health and safety of our healthcare team. Therefore, all front-line Healthcare Workers are required to have three doses of COVID vaccination and the 2023 influenza vaccination (unless a valid exemption applies). Proof of vaccination (or exemption) will be necessary before your start date.

All employees must hold current entitlement to work within Australia. A six month probationary period applies to all new appointments.
