Meandu Mine
BUMA Australia provides a total mine service to Stanwell Corporation's Meandu Mine to deliver coal to the adjacent Tarong power station. We are responsible for both managing and operating the mine. Services provided include planning, drilling, overburden removal, coal mining, coal processing, rehabilitation, and maintenance of mobile and fixed plant. The project uses a combination of dragline and truck-and shovel operations. Meandu Mine currently has five working pits, with sufficient coal to fuel the stations until at least 2037.
Job description:
As BUMA Australia grows, we are seeking full time Heavy Diesel Fitters to join our team. Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent. This is a Field Maintenance role with experience with diggers and drills advantageous.
Key requirements include:
- Relevant Diesel Fitter / heavy vehicle trade qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role
- Proven experience with Caterpillar and/or Hitachi
- High levels of initiative and the ability to work well under pressure
- Safety focus with a high attention to detail to abide by site safety processes

The successful candidate should have:
