Heavy Diesel Mechanic
CSA Mine, Cobar NSWCSA Mine is seeking a proficient and seasoned Heavy Diesel Mechanic to become an integral part of our Mobile Maintenance team. In the role of a Heavy Diesel Mechanic, you will assume a pivotal position that upholds the operation effectiveness and dependability of our extensive Heavy Diesel equipment and machinery. Your core responsibilities will encompass the diagnosis, rectification and upkeeping of an array of Heavy Diesel vehicles and equipment within our underground operation. Your primary focus will revolve around prioritising safety while diligently pursuing the fulfilment of our operational plans.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and hydraulic issues, utilizing diagnostic tools and equipment to identify problems accurately
- Performing routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs for the following equipment:
- Jumbo’s (Sandvik DD421’s) and/or Long Hole Drill Rigs (Atlas L6C)
- Haul Trucks (Sandvik & Epiroc) and Loaders (Sandvik & Epiroc)
- Elphinstone WR810 & WR820, CAT and Volvo IT’s, Normet and ISUZU trucks
About you:
- Current manual Australian Driver’s Licence
- A trade qualification in Mobile Plant and/or Heavy Diesel Mechanical
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, computerized systems, and other equipment to identify and resolve mechanical issues
- Familiarity with maintenance management systems and software (SAP)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics
- Self-motivated individual with a high level of initiative
- Good organisational and planning skills
- Strong focus on accuracy, attention to detail and quality standards
Conditions
This is a 7/7 continuous shift roster - offered on a residential or drive-in drive-out (DIDO) basis. If residential is the preferred commute option 12 weeks of transit accommodation, relocation costs and a housing subsidy will be provided to assist you in relocating to Cobar. Candidates interested in the DIDO will be provided with commute single accommodation and meals at the mine camp. CSA also provides Pool & Gym Reimbursements to our employees and their dependants.
