Liberty Industrial is currently seeking a Plant/Diesel Mechanic to join our National Maintenance Division on a 3/1 FIFO (Fly In, Fly Out) Roster. This is a permanent role supporting major projects Australia-wide.

Role & Responsibilities
You will be engaged on a 3 weeks on, 1 week off roster with major projects Australia-wide, to maintain our fleet of excavators and attachments, highway and off road trucks, and various other mobile and fixed plant. Makes include Volvo, Hitachi and state of the art Kocurek High Reach demolition equipment.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on all Plant and Equipment safely and to a high standard.
- Perform unscheduled repairs to failed or damaged Plant and Equipment safely and to a high standard.
- Diagnose Mechanical, Electrical and Hydraulic faults and coordinate repairs safely and to a high standard.
- Interpret and order parts for repairs.
- Maintain the plant register and complete maintenance documentation.
- Ensure action is initiated to reduce or eliminate risks or hazards.

Skills & Experience
- Certificate III Heavy Diesel or Plant Mechanic.
- A current Drivers Licence – (MR Truck license preferred).
- Position open to recently qualified Plant/Diesel Mechanics who are ready to kick-start their career.
- Capable to carry out the servicing and maintenance of heavy or plant diesel products.
- Solid diagnostic skills.
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, both independently and in a team.
- An excellent work ethic, a team player and willingness to learn.
- Strong commitment to Health, Safety, Environment & Quality policies.
The successful candidate must undergo full pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening and Federal Police Check prior to employment.
