Heavy Duty Mobile Plant Fitter - Surface Mining

• Flat rate $65-$82 per hour (Neg*) + Super on all hours work
• FIFO from Perth Airport to the Point of Hire in Kalgoorlie and/or Newman/Pilbara regions 
• 8/6, 2/1, & 2/2 rosters options

Our client is a global market leader in the provision of open-pit and underground mining and drilling services to the biggest blue-chip metalliferous mine sites across mining regions of  Western Australia. They boast as having an impeccable fleet of Surface Mining rotary blast hole drill rigs equipped with latest ergonomically designed and innovative technology. Their brands are well renowned with a strong focus on productivity and safety. They are currently seeking a Heavy Duty Mobile Plant Fitter to join their maintenance team in Perth and/or with the options to do  FIFO on a 8/6, 2/1, & 2/2 rosters to from Perth to the Point of Hire in Kalgoorlie and or Newman/Pilbara regions.  

OPPORTUNITY 

This role is best suitable for candidates with a sound knowledge of Mobile Plant/diesel mechanic/hydraulic/electrical background ideally from maintenance and repair background working on Heavy Duty Mobile Plant machines from a Surface Mining/drilling, quarrying, construction, earthmoving and/or agricultural/heavy road commercial transport areas. For this opportunity, the right candidate must be willing to Fly-In-Fly-Out from Perth Airport to the Kalgoorlie-Boulder & the Goldfields and or Newman/Pilbara  regions of Western Australia.

The opportunity will see the successful applicant achieving: 

• Carrying out workshop component change out/in (e.g. feed and return, ropes, blown hoses, top/bottom sheaves, feed cylinders, pumps and rotation motors), minor an d major component rebuilds and overhaul.
• Carrying out all task with the highest safety standards and to OEM specifications.
• Adhering and committed to company's health and safety procedures and regulations
• Diagnostic and fault finding issues using CANBUS / rig control system to identify malfunction codes.
• Troubleshooting complex hydraulic/electrical system problems. 
• Once you have undergone upskilling and training, your role will involve delivering mine site field service and employing problem-solving skills to ensure optimal availability and reliability of a diverse array of mining equipment. This encompasses their fleet operated control and autonomous  Atlas Copco/Epiroc Pit Viper 231, 235,275, 271, Atlas Copco/Epiroc DML,T45/T40 Atlas Copco/Epiroc, D65 autonomous ranges and or similar manned or autonomous Sandvik DR416, DR412/10, D75K/D50KS/45KS,Cat/Bucyrus SKS-S/SKS-W rotary blast hole drill rigs

REQUIREMENTS 

You are required to hold a trade certification in Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology, Certificate III in Electrical Technology, or possess relevant trade experience from a related field  in a Heavy Commercial Automotive (Mack, Kenworth, Scania), agricultural and/or construction plant(Cat, Hitachi, Komatsu) machinery. You should have demonstrated problem-solving skills, along with a collaborative approach to teamwork. Your capabilities should include exceptional/ strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic abilities, fault-finding expertise, and troubleshooting proficiency. You should also be proficient in reading and interpreting hydraulic and low-voltage electrical schematics. Strong communication skills are essential, as they enable you to cultivate long-term customer relationships.
