As a result of Georgiou's significant growth, we are now seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced Heavy Duty Plant Mechanics to join our plant maintenance team. This role will offer you the opportunity to be home every night, work 45+ hours (Mon - Fri) and maintain a modern fleet of equipment within a small maintenance team that promotes training and career development opportunities.
Georgiou plant department is responsible for the maintenance and servicing of all Georgiou plant and equipment. This position will be based at our modern workshop facility in Hazelmere, with potential FIFO opportunities available in 2024.
The successful candidate will need to exercise trade skills and knowledge to ensure that equipment such as Articulated & Rigid Trucks, Dozers, Excavators, Graders and Wheel Loaders are repaired and maintained to the required standard of safety and reliability for the efficient running of plant. services.
What you're good at:
* Trade qualified with post trade experience
* Proven experience with repairing a range of CAT mobile earthmoving equipment including, dozers, graders, wheel loaders and excavators
* High level diagnostic, fault finding and troubleshooting skills including electrical testing
* Previous experience in workshop and field service operations
* Able to work in a team environment and provide instruction and guidance to apprentices
* Highly self-motivated and driven to achieve desired outcomes and a high quality of work
* Have a strong commitment to safety in the workplace
* Hold a valid C class license (HR license is desirable)
* Physically fit for the demands of the role
