Heavy Rigid (Hr) Truck Driver

On the back of successful business growth, we currently have a vacancy for a HR Truck Driver, based at Gillman, SA. You'll be providing excellent transport services to our customers and maintaining our health and safety standards. You'll deliver a range of high-quality, integrated pick-up and delivery services by road to our customers on a daily basis and in a safe and timely manner.

• Load and unload goods in compliance with axle weights and load restraint regulations and Company requirements
• Delivering bulk and packaged dangerous goods as well as general freight to customers through single and multi drop deliveries
• Undertake pre and post trip vehicle inspections, and report any faults, issues, or maintenance that may be required
• Drive and operate the vehicle in a safe and courteous manner, observing all applicable road rules and company polices/procedures
• Ensure loads are secure and vehicle is kept in a clean and tidy condition
• Comply with chain of responsibility requirements
• Complete required transport and delivery documentation accurately and in a timely way
• Ensure all company equipment remains secure, clean and well kept at all times
• Reporting any required vehicle maintenance to the appropriate personnel and in accordance with Company requirements.
• Follow all company policies and procedures, including fatigue management and workplace health and safety 
• Comply with transport legislative requirements at all times (driving hours limits, required breaks, shift work etc). 

Here are the skills and qualifications you'll need to be considered for this role. 

• At least 2 years of HR truck driving experience
• Current HR licence
• Strong customer and safety focus 
• Ability to complete daily vehicle inspections and other compliance documentation
• Skilled in writing documentation with attention to detail 
• Great work ethic and self-motivated 
• Proven reliability 
• Awareness of relevant workplace health and safety requirements 
• Ability to work overtime when required.
• Ability to comply with Company policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.  

Dangerous Goods and Forklift licences would be highly regarded.  

If you're successful, we'll ask you for a printed copy of your driving history. You'll also undergo a police check as well as our pre-employment medical, which includes a drug and alcohol test.
