Form of workDue to our continued growth, we are looking for experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanics to be based in our brand newly built Brisbane (Lytton) Depot. This role will either be working a 12:30pm- 9pm Shift Monday -Friday or a 7am-3:30pm Shift Monday -Friday.
- Perform service, repairs and maintenance on our fleet of Kenworth’s Volvos and fuel tankers.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records for all servicing and repairs to ensure compliance with the NHVAS scheme.
- Overhaul engines and major components when necessary to extend the lifespan of vehicles.
- Utilise diagnostic tools and equipment to identify problems and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Identify, diagnose, and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in diesel engines and related systems.
- Diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical issues efficiently.
- Maintain a safe and tidy workshop.

Skills and Experience
- Heavy Vehicle Mechanic Qualification
- Experience working with Heavy Vehicles including prime movers, rigids, and trailers as well as light vehicles.
- Experience working with Fuel Tankers will be a strong advantage.
- Valid driver's license (HR and MC licence will be an advantage)
- Demonstrated experience in data entry for service records.
- Flexibility to adjust working hours to meet fleet scheduling.
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
