Westar Trucks Derrimut is seeking a Heavy Vehicle Sales Consultant to work with MAN and Western Star brands in their heavy truck department.This is a rare opportunity for a Sales Consultant to join our market-leading team. We are expanding and need a new team member to help continue our success.
The role description is as follows:
As a proactive and creative team member reporting to the Sales Manager, you will be highly responsible and work alongside a well-established, experienced, and successful team. You will receive ample support to help you succeed in your role.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with new and current customers in the transport industry.
- Promote and sell a range of MAN and Western Star trucks to cater to customers' needs.
- Providing expert advice and guidance on truck specifications, features, and benefits.
- Conducting truck demonstrations and test drives to showcase their capabilities.
- Preparing and presenting sales proposals and negotiating pricing and contracts.
- Collaborating with the sales team to achieve sales targets and exceed customer expectations.
- Staying informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and product knowledge.
Who we are looking for:
- Previous truck sales experience will be ideal, or sales in the transport industry or capital equipment will be highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with customers.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills, but importantly, you will be solution-focused and understand the customer needs.
- Results-oriented with a drive to achieve sales targets.
- Experience with software systems (we use Pentana ERA software), but you can with MS Office.
- Valid Heavy Vehicle driver's license OR you are eligible and willing to obtain one.
