Heavy Vehicle Trainer

Blue Horse Truck Driver Training School is a locallyowned and operated RTO, specialising in Heavy Vehicle Truck Driver Training.With over 20 years’ experience, we understand the industry and can relate tothe expectations and restrictions of Heavy Vehicle drivers. All training isprovided in our fleet of well-maintained vehicles offering students the bestand most efficient way of gaining hands on experience throughout theirtraining. We offer convenient, flexible training 7 days a week. 

We are looking to employ an experienced, certified HeavyVehicle Trainer to join our team on a full time basis. All training isconducted on site on a one-on-one basis.

As a trainer your primary focus is to deliver high qualitytraining to all students, be comfortable in communicating, building, andmaintaining relationships with students, clients and team members as well asproviding and receiving feedback.

Desirable Selection Criteria:

·        Unrestricted HR, HC or MC WA licence

·        Certification as a Qualified Instructor with theDepartment of Transport (valid Blue Book)

·        Certificate IV in Training & Assessment(TAE40116 or equivalent desirable)

·        At least 5 years truck driving experience

Duties and Responsibilities:

·        Understanding and ability to train students insynchromesh, auto and road ranger gear boxes

·        Train and evaluate student’s performance duringtraining block.

·        If required, assist students in completingnecessary assessments related to the course unit requirements.

·        Complete practical assessments of all studentsas required by the RTO.

·        Adhere to all RTO compliance requirements,policies, and procedures. 

·        Provide feedback and guidance to students tohelp them improve their driving abilities.

·        Clear and effective communication skills

·        Professionalism, reliable and punctual
