We're currently seeking dedicated and skilled Heavy/Diesel Mechanics to fill multiple positions, offering an exciting opportunity to work with local council, with the potential for permanent placement later in the year. We are open to applicants Australia wide with the Council Depot just a short trip from the Beaches and Hinterland of the Gold Coast and Tweed. Your new role involves conducting general maintenance and repair tasks on a diverse range of council vehicles including and exciting range of plant and machinery.
As the workshop undergoes a transformation, you'll contribute to modernizing its culture and procedures, enhancing efficiency and performance all within a friendly and inclusive environment. To embark on this exciting journey, we seek individuals with the following qualifications and attributes: Possession of relevant Trade Certificates Experience in plant maintenance and/or mechanical expertise Experience in vehicle 12/24V electrical systems and advantage Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues promptly Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment Strong organizational and communication skills Capability to collaborate effectively within a team White card certification Bonus points for prior experience in team leadership or supervision With the right mindset and a great work ethic, many of our casual employees have transitioned into permanent roles within Council, so don't hesitate and take the first step by applying today…
