About the role:

We are seeking a Helpdesk & Network Support Officer to join our Information & Communication Technology team. This role will be based onsite at our Herons Creek NSW mill.
Reporting to the General Manager ICT, you will be responsible for providing remote and on-site Level 2 technical support for end users. You will work with the ICT Infrastructure Administrator to maintain the day-to-day operation of all technology infrastructures. Which includes data center, network and server services, manufacturing systems, telephony, service monitoring including firewalls configuration and network equipment, storage, and related software.
The role will provide valuable skills and knowledge to the ICT department which are pivotal for ensuring the availability, integrity and security for all ICT systems and infrastructure.
This position plays a key role in business improvement and requires the development of highly effective working relationships across the business. You will be given a unique opportunity to showcase your expertise within a dynamic team that takes pride in the work they do.
Due to the nature of this role, work will be required outside of normal working hours and travel between sites will be required.
About you:
To be successful in this role, you will have expert knowledge of service desk support procedures and techniques. You have excellent communication skills and the ability to deliver a high level of customer service and support. You possess excellent problem-solving skills, continually identifying areas of opportunity and improvement. You have sound technical competency to undertake routine server, network and desktop systems operational maintenance tasks.
Your primary responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Assist the ICT Team in system support and maintenance across multiple sites
• Provide onsite support travelling between sites with the occasional evening and weekend work required.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for networking issues, IP configurations, and day-to-day computer problems
• Maintain and troubleshoot printers, ensuring proper functionality and addressing any issues that arise
• Collaborate with internal departments to identify and resolve technical problems efficiently and ensure timely escalation of unresolved issues to appropriate internal teams.
• Work with a ticket-based system, managing your own tasks and incidents and track support requests, resolutions, and relevant information
• Install and configure switches and routers Perform backups of equipment, servers and hardware
• Identify improvement opportunities to help deliver high quality service

To be considered for this fantastic opportunity, you must have the following:

• 3+ years’ experience as a Technical Support Engineer, Desktop Support Engineer, Network Technician or similar role
• Excellent troubleshooting / problem-solving skills with the ability to multitask and desire to learn
• Experience of networking with Firewall and VPN Experience
• Experience with Veeam backup and recovery software
• Experience with Microsoft Server Products and Hyper-V environments including Active Directory and Exchange server. Azure and Office 365 environment knowledge an advantage.
• Experience within a manufacturing environment would be highly regarded
• A strong attention to detail
• Full Australian Driver’s license and own car required.
