About the Position
Our Herons Creek team has been growing, we are currently seeking people with a can-do attitude and strong work ethic to join our team. If you enjoy problem solving, and working across different equipment and machinery we are interested in talking to you.
We are currently seeking Plant Operatorsfor our Herons Creek Site which comprises both a Saw mill and Dry Mill to make up the largest site in the Pentarch group. This is a Permanent Full-Time position, where you will be involved with a range of duties from warehousing to machine operation.
We are looking for candidates who are immediately available to pick up day shift’s Monday to Thursday 6:20am – 3pm and Fridays 6:20am – 12:40pm. We are offering a competitive hourly rate of $26.93 + super.
Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
- The use of various console machinery to saw and stack timber
- General labouring and timber mill duties
- Assisting with the daily running of general operations at our Herons Creek plant.
- Sorting and strapping timber
- Inventory management
- Keeping work area clean and focusing on health and safety
- Previous experience within a similar role in machine operating is desirable
- A positive attitude whilst being reliable and punctual
- A strong commitment to safety
- Knowledge of the timber industry is highly advantageous
- Be physically fit and able to manually handle various size timber sections
- Previous experience with manual handling work
- The ability to work effectively within a team environment
