Holiday Park Management

We’re looking for either a management couple OR individuals with the drive and skills to manage our park near Yamba in Northern NSW. If you are the type who lives to make customers happy, love the idea of working in and developing a high growth park, then this may be for you. This role is for people who love the idea of change and excited by the growth of our business.

The Park sits on 130 acres with 700m of direct frontage to the Clarence River. It is 100% tourism with a mix of sites and cabins. We are excited to be expanding the Park over the coming years with a huge new pool being built this year. We require energetic people to manage day to day operations, marketing, onsite events and first-class customer service.

The two roles we need to fill are Grounds Manager and Reception Manager. These are both full-time 'hands on' roles. 

Maintenance Manager:

Manage our grounds maintenance team to ensure excellent presentation of the Park. 

• An eye for detail. Mowing, landscaping, general handyman work/repairs.
• Plant & equipment maintenance, arrange maintenance and repairs where necessary.
• Pool cleaning, maintenance and an eye for safety.
• A trade license would be preferred but not essential.
• Experience in renovations and managing capital works projects would be preferred.
• Implement the yearly maintenance program.
• Waste management. 
• Park security.
• Welcoming guests.
• Assisting with cleaning if required.
• Ability to use a computer to manage rosters, manage projects, communicate with trades and report progress to the park owner.

Reception Manager:

The role is varied, managing the day-to-day operations of the reception, reservations and housekeeping teams.

• Experience in employing, training and developing a team that provides fantastic customer service.
• Previous experience in a similar role in a hotel or resort would be preferred.
• Experience with RMS or NewBook ideal.
• High level of computer literacy.
• Management of F&B.
• Experience in yield management, group bookings and third-party sites.  
• Some knowledge of e-newsletters and social media.
• Create a positive culture, a happy motivated team.
• Experience with yield management preferred.
• Coordinate the housekeeping team, including quality control and ordering. 
• Manage bookings, general enquiries, check-ins and end of day reconciling.
• Monthly account payments.
• Fortnightly wages. 
• Assist with social media and marketing activities.
• Organise seasonal activities, such as guest entertainment, kid’s club, food vans.

The successful couple will need to demonstrate:

• A continual drive to improve and grow our business.
• Be self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Be well organized. Show planning skills and project management. 
• Willingness to work flexible hours and weekends.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Good eye for detail.
• Previous staff management experience including rostering, employee engagement, interviewing, training, performance reviews and discipline.
• Exceptional personal presentation.
• Knowledge and ability to implement WH&S responsibilities.

• A salary and super package of $150k as a couple.
• A fully furnished 3-bedroom house on a large 1.8 acre block with it’s own private dam, adjoining the park. Large screen TV, Bose sound system, electricity and internet are also included. Pets are welcome. Note – an onsite shed is used by the park.

• The park is approximately 10 minutes from Yamba. Yamba is a small town known for it’s fishing, surfing and chilled vibe. It has lots of cafés and restaurants servicing a healthy tourist trade. It boasts 2 primary schools. A High School and TAFE are located close by in Maclean.

You will work a 10 day fortnight on a rotating roster, which will sometimes include weekends, public holidays and school holidays. You will also be on-call to respond to any urgent issues after hours.

You will require a National Police Check and Working with Children Check prior to starting.
