- Personal Care: Help clients with everyday tasks like bathing, grooming, dressing, and using the bathroom, always respecting their dignity.
- Household Help: Keep the house clean, cook meals, and do laundry to ensure clients have a safe and cozy living space.
- Social Interaction: Spend time with clients, chat with them, and plan activities to keep them engaged and happy.
- Transportation: Safely drive clients to appointments, grocery shopping, or other activities. (Note: Having a car might be necessary for this.)
- Experience in caring for elderly or people with disabilities.
- A kind and caring attitude, genuinely wanting to help others.
- Good communication skills to build trust with clients.
- Reliable and able to work alone or with a team.
- Flexible to adapt to different schedules and needs.
- Problem-solving skills and a positive attitude.
- Willingness to share your skills and experiences with colleagues.
- Respect for client privacy.
- Preferably, a Certificate III or IV in Individual Support or Ageing Disability.
- Experience with hoists is a plus.
- Having a reliable vehicle is preferable.
- Working With Children Check.
- NDIS clearance check.
- First Aid and CPR Certification.
- COVID-19 and Flu Vaccinations.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Clear criminal background check and vulnerable sector screening.
