Home Lending Specialist

The Opportunity:

Our client is a non-bank lender who are shaking up the mortgage industry with a brand new-to-market home loan product in high demand. An exciting opportunity is available for a Lending Specialist to join this small, close knit team where you will work directly alongside the Founders and Head of Operations to help them grow the business. Typical duties include:

• Develop and enhance relationships with current and prospective customers.
• Provide inbound customer support in sales, onboarding, settlement and servicing customer journeys
• Assist with the loan application process and underwrite loans within delegated authority
• Listen to and resolve customer needs
• Have input in the development of policies and procedures
• Ad hoc projects and process improvements in this agile and evolving start up organisation

The Ideal Candidate:

You will have a background in customer facing roles from the Mortgage / Residential Lending industry (either from a bank, lender or mortgage broking environment) with a passion for nurturing relationships and providing an exceptional customer journey.You'll have an appreciation of credit policy and/or the desire to gain your own Delegated Lending Authority (DLA). You will also demonstrate:

• Passion for customer service and collaboration to achieve the most effective solution  
• Strong and efficient communicator with proven experience to negotiate and adapt style under pressure 
• Proactive problem solver and process improvement advocate 
• Incredible attention to detail with a desire to deeply understand customer needs and apply sound judgement
