In July 2021, Mortgage Choice entered a new era after being acquired by REA Group. REA is creating a leading mortgage broking business at scale that will support more Australians with their home ownership aspirations. This is an exciting time of growth for Mortgage Choice, but something that remains the same is that our qualified mortgage brokers continue to provide first class customer service and advice to help our customers take control of their finances.
What the role is all about
Providing responsive and quality support to the Home Lending Specialist team in supporting the loan application from lodgement to funding and post settlement retention activities
Preparing and maintaining a tracking process (database) that includes creating a unique loan identifier number, key milestone events including lodgement, indicative approval, full approval, funding and post settlement health check events
Developing and actioning key communication strategies including SMS, email, letter and phone calls as appropriate to update the customer on loan lodgement to funding stages
Monitoring the tracking database and allocate follow-up tasks as appropriate to other team members for health check calls, reminder letters, progress updates and requests for other customer information if and when required
Providing exceptional customer service throughout the mortgage cycle
Maintaining regular and timely contact with lending teams at all levels of the loan processing stages from credit assessors to the funding teams
Look for additional product sales opportunities from clients
Ensuring upkeep of continuous development including but not limited to attending Lender accreditation sessions, maintaining industry CPD point score & ensuring accurate and up to date knowledge of lender products, policies and service levels
Who we’re looking for
At least 3 years of recent mortgage admin experience with a financial institution or a licensed mortgage broker
Completed a certificate IV in Finance & Mortgage Broking. Preferably, a Diploma in Finance & Mortgage Broking
You are adaptable and tech savvy, with strong attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate with people at different levels
High level influencing skills, along with the ability to leverage opportunities and modify approach to best position ideas, overcome or minimise barriers and address unique needs and preferences of Lending Specialists
High level of self-confidence with considerable drive, energy and a sense of urgency
Ability to anticipate, prioritise and deal with issues proactively and decisively
Excellent time management skills and commitment to meeting deadlines
Strong achievement & results focus balanced with a long term approach
