Randwick City Council is an innovative and progressive Council committed to serving our vibrant community on the eastern beaches of Sydney. Our Community Development team is seeking a Home Maintenance Officer.
Purpose:
To support the operations of the Randwick Home Maintenance and Modification Service (HMMS). The service ensures a safe and accessible living environment for frail aged people, people with disabilities and their carers through the provision of Home Maintenance and modification work.
About the role:
- Plan and coordinate inbound referrals received by the Home Maintenance and Modification Service, including costing and quoting.
- Source and coordinate licensed Council sub-contractors where necessary to meet specific needs of clients.
- Maintain all relevant records in accordance with patient confidentiality guidelines and requirements as set out by the government funding body.
- Promote the Home Maintenance and Modification Service to the wider community through different communication streams.
About you:
- Have a trade qualification or equivalent, with 5-years building experience.
- Have an ability to communicate with sensitivity and understanding to frail aged people, people with disabilities and their carers, including those from Culturally and Linguistic background and People from an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander background.
- Have an ability to read and draw technical drawings and plans.
