The Role:
Join our team as a Home Product Analyst and delve into the intricacies of home insurance trends, sales, pricing, and claims analysis, providing invaluable insights and recommendations to drive the profitable growth of our Home portfolio.
As a leader in continuous improvement, you'll lead the enhancement and automation of reporting and monitoring tools. Additionally, you'll play a key role in analysing underwriting processes, implementing improvements, and conducting rigorous testing.

Accountabilities:
- Support continuous improvement of underwriting and Home Product through analysis and insights.
- Provide portfolio reporting and monitoring, including analysis of trends, referrals, discounting, sales, policies and claims data.
- Assist in implementing and maintaining business rules supporting Underwriting Guidelines and Policies across IT systems.
- Assist with testing of system solutions and new developments.
- Provide support to Underwriting and Product team members, specifically around various reporting systems and tools.
- Assist with underwriting decisions in line with authority limits, applicable policies and guidelines
Essential Skills, Knowledge and Qualifications:
- Interest in general insurance products, underwriting or claims. Experience within the General insurance industry would be advantageous.
- Tertiary qualification in mathematics, IT, business, economics, actuarial science, or related discipline.
- Experience in data analysis and reporting.
- Working knowledge of SQL. Experience with SAS or Google Cloud Platform would be advantageous
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory regimes, compliance and legislation covering insurance is advantageous.
- Knowledge of industry trends and best practices.
