The role
The Home Product Manager oversees the development and management of the insurance product portfolio, conducting market analysis, ensuring profitability, and leading a team of Product Managers. This pivotal role shapes the company's product strategy, launches successful products, and drives market differentiation and growth.

Full-time and permanent, this role is located in Toowong, offering an excellent opportunity for professionals seeking a new challenge in a leading and expanding company.

Accountabilities

• Develop and execute a strategic vision for the insurance product portfolio in alignment with company goals and market trends.
• Drive the end-to-end product development process, from ideation to launch, ensuring products meet customer needs and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate closely with underwriting, actuarial, marketing, and other cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation and management of insurance products.
• Work with the underwriting team to incorporate risk assessments and underwriting insights into product strategies.
• Monitor industry developments and regulatory changes that may impact insurance product offerings.
• Analyse and manage the financial performance of insurance products, collaborating with finance and actuarial teams to ensure profitability.

Knowledge and experience:

• 8+ years of experience in product management within the insurance industry, with a proven track record of managing and leading teams.
• Strong understanding of insurance underwriting principles, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make strategic decisions.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of product design principles and product lifecycle framework
• Understanding of the Australian financial services regulatory environment
• Strong people leadership with a clear desire to help people learn, grow and thrive
