As Risk Manager – Group Product, you will be responsible for overseeing the risk management activities for our Retail and Business products portfolio, which includes credit cards, personal loans, mortgages, deposits, and insurance. You will work closely with the product teams, various business units, and the risk functions to ensure that our products are designed, developed, and delivered within our risk appetite, policies, and regulatory requirements. You will also provide risk insights, analysis, and reporting to support strategic decision making and risk governance.
Some of the other interesting areas you’ll work on are…
- Consult and liaise with 1st, 2nd and 3rd line Operational Risk and Compliance teams.
- Liaise with various stakeholders throughout the BOQ Group to identify, assess, mitigate, manage, and report across our risks.
- Make decisions guided by policies, procedures and strategy.
- Update, modify or provide risk feedback across existing policies and procedures within own area of expertise.
- Lead or facilitate working groups for remediation.
About you
You're a seasoned Risk professional who has a deep understanding of banking products across a Retail or Business banking environment. You’re enthusiastic and eager to progress your knowledge in risk management, stakeholder management and people leadership. You’re well versed within the financial services industry (preferably within banking), come equipped with knowledge of non-financial risk management and have relevant qualifications in risk management, law, business, finance or related discipline, along with relevant work experience.
You've got the skills and smarts to provide risk advice and guidance, and for assisting Management in the analysis, identification, assessment, mitigation, management and reporting across all relevant risk and compliance matters, issues, and incidents within the Retail or Business Banking Divisions. We're playing in a highly regulated industry so we need a strategic whiz who can think on their feet and solve problems. You're a team player who loves to get involved, work well with others, and spread positive vibes across the organisation.
As a results-focused professional you like to stay in touch with the business and help them achieve their vision, backed up by strong time management skills.
