Job DescriptionAbout the Position:
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate candidate to join the Shire of Broome in the role of Horticulture Team Leader.
TheHorticulture Team Leaderwill be responsible for day-to-day allocation of work as directed by the Horticulture supervisor.

This is a Permanent full-time position working 40 hours per week, with fortnightly RDO accruals.
About You:
Our ideal candidate will have at least 5 years in the horticulture industry with some leading hand experience of a small team.
Essential:
- Demonstrated supervisory skills
- Good verbal communication skills
- Ability to plan and schedule work of a small group
- ‘C’ and ‘MR’ Class Licenses
- Knowledge of supervisory, safety and human resource practices
- Operation and maintenance of horticultural machinery
Desirable:
- Experience in Amenity Horticulture
- Horticultural Trade Certificate
- First Aid Certificate
- Power Line Safety Certificate
- Chainsaw Certificate
- Tropical horticulture knowledge
- Knowledge of Broome and Council procedures
