Yendon Gourmet Tomatoes currently have an exciting opportunity for a Horticulture Trainee to join our team!
You will be working alongside experienced staff in a supportive environment, while you complete a Certificate III in Horticulture.
Responsibilities for this position include:
- To assist in maintaining the designated areas to the required standard in a timely manner.
- Identifying plants, pests, diseases, and disorders.
- Install metal structures, beds, and features.
- Weed control (manual removal and minor herbicide use).
- Implementing programs for Plant health & Plant nutrition.
- Operate machinery and equipment.
To be successful you will need to have the following:
Must have:
- Ability to undertake manual work.
- Keen to work in both indoor and outdoor settings.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good, strong work ethics and time management skills.
- Be a confident communicator.
Preferred but not essential:
- Driver Licence & own car.
