The Company

Our client operates a botanical garden which covers 14 hectares within the Queens Domain area in Hobart.

The Role

• Assist in planting, watering, weeding and fertilising plants
• Focus will be on ornamental horticulture
• Monitor and maintain plant health, identifying and addressing any issues
• Recognise and address pest and disease issues in a timely manner
• Supporting the lead Horticulturalist during the execution of day-day operations

Requirements

• Qualified in Horticulture with a certificate 3
• Preferable at least 3 years' experience
• Experience in ornamental horticulture.
• Motivated, hard-working individual with a strong eye for detail
• Excellent communication and Interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Hours of work:

• To be confirmed but most likely Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work
• 7.45am to 4.36pm - Monday to Friday
• $33.00 per hour casual rate plus Superannuation and O/T
• On site parking (Free of charge)
