Our client is an industry-leading Australian business specialising in the design, manufacture, testing and supply of hose, fittings and hose assemblies.
With facilities across Australia and a head office in Perth (a brand new 5000 sq foot facility), they continue to lead the way and provide over 25 years of experience.
The Role
We are looking for a reliable Workshop Technician with ideally 12 months of local industry experience (not essential) in Brisbane.
This role is based in Brisbane and working with a close-knit team carrying out hose assembling, crimping, testing and general warehouse duties.
Your operation responsibilities (training provided):
- Work efficiently to provide high-quality hose assemblies to meet specified standards in an efficient and profitable manner
- Fitting and assembling hoses up to 8"
- Hydrostatic testing
- Prepare, fill, seal and pressure test hose assemblies to Australian & International standards
- Electrical testing of hose assemblies to Australian & International standards
- Recertification of assemblies
- Recertify existing hoses as per the set procedures depending on the type of hose and assembly - boroscope, repair, visual inspection and pressure test
- Onsite inspections and audits of hoses – identifying, measuring and tagging
- Prepare onsite field reports stating the outcome of the inspection and audit including any defect hoses and recommendations
- Complete all paperwork required as per assemblies - including test record, inspection/test plan and generate reports as per company instructions.
- Recertification reports and recommendations as required
- Support with telephone enquires
- Maintain workshop in a clean and orderly manner
- Assist with stock take when required
- Undertake site work and offshore campaigns as required
- Good knowledge of national & international hose assembly and testing standards
- Basic level of computer skills including MS Office software program
- The physical ability to perform manual labour and other physical activities
- High attention to detail

- Team player and willingness to assist others outside the scope of their position when required

- Previous experience with hydraulic and industrial hose & fittings, however, is not necessary, and people with cross-industry experience & roles are highly encouraged to apply
- Forklift licence (ideal but not required)
- Experience in warehouse duties
- Strong customer focus
