Mechanical Fitter - Hose Technician

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join the EnerMech team at our Brisbane workshop in Morningside. This position will be working in the hose management services team with respect to hose manufacture, testing and inspection.

In more detail you will:

• Review work instructions/hose specifications and assist in the allocation and management of EnerMech asset hoses
• Inspect and provide condition reporting on used hose assemblies both internally and for clients.
• Manufacture new hose assemblies according to both EnerMech and Manufacturers procedures.
• Perform hydrostatic and electrical conductivity tests on new and in-service hose assemblies.
• Generate and apply hose tags in accordance with specification.
• Operate, maintain and repair EnerMech equipment, reporting and rectifying defects
• Engage with the planning and preparation of onsite and offsite hose projects.

Ideally you will have:

• Experience in Hose Manufacture, Testing, Inspection - Advantageous
• Strong focus on safety and quality
• Literate with good communication skills
• Ability to use basic Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, Internet Explorer

Preferred:

• Mechanical Trade Certificate
• Experience as a Hose Technician
• Knowledge and experience with Hydraulic and Industrial hose, fittings and components
• Knowledge of relevant NATA standards advantageous
• Site supervisory experience
• Experience in the Oil and Gas Industry
• Experience working on Major Hazard Facilities
