About the role
We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Hospital Assistant to join the Accident & Emergency Department on the Hobart Lenah Valley campus.
Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, the Hospital Assistant provides support and assistance to patients and colleagues including assisting patients in their activities of daily living, maintains clinical supplies to the department, internal transferring of patients and providing clerical support.
This is a shift working position, and as such, the successful applicant must have the ability to work both early (0800-1600) and late (1600-0000) shifts 7 days a week. We are a 24/7 service with currently reduced hours over the weekend.

- Excellent communication, customer service and people skills
- Proven ability to work as part of a small team and able to take instruction and complete given tasks under minimal supervision/autonomously
- Proven ability to manage duties and organise competing priorities
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations and information
- Outstanding time management skills
- Has undertaken or is willing to undertake Manual Handling training
