Hospital Assistant - Cleaner
About the role:
The success applicants with work with the JHH operating theatre team with Surgical services in JHH theatres 1-10
Provide an efficient and effective delivery of cleaning services in all areas of the hospital/facility to provide a clean environment and to minimise health care associated infections.
Perform cleaning duties as per position duties schedule and responsibilities in accordance with cleaning
practices and standards to ensure infection control and quality standards are met.
Wear Personal Protective Equipment to comply with WH&S legislation and maintain strict adherence to Safe Work Practices.
Comply with Manual Handling guidelines.
Use cleaning products and chemicals in accordance with Material Safety Data specifications, attend training and implement updates in accordance with policies and guidelines for cleaning procedures.
Monitor stock levels and provide ordering requirements for cleaning products, linen, kitchen supplies and
requirements for the facility. Provide internal waste removal, Including emptying waste bins and linen
skips (including contaminated waste/soiled linen), removing
All training is provided on the job, you will be supported and mentored by a senior colleague.
About you:
You will have a passion for cleanliness, attention to detail with a willing to learn and develop your skills within the surgical environment.
The ability to communicate effectively with Manager to enable the provision of a quality service.
